First off I'm sorry for the delayed recap, but until yesterday evening I was still in the hospital recovering from a planned surgery. Gladly all went well so all it takes is a few weeks of time now for me to be completely recovered, hopefully fitter than I've been in a long time! Only bad thing considering poker is that I'm still on pretty strong medication and therfor I can't grind for now even tho I have alot of time. At least I can do plenty of learning which will prepare me mental- and skillwise for when I am able to return to the tables (planned 12.02.2018)
But enough of the future, lets take a look at the past and how I performed during January. Sadly the Volume I put in was terrible. There are plenty of reasons why. My account was frozen for 3 days because of a mistake by PokerStars, I had to wait for reloads quite frequently (even tho I only lost max. 1 day of grinding per reload) and for sure because I was in the hospital at the end of the month. But no big problem, only the result counts right? and let me spoil already! this was my first 4 digit month in quite some time! Great isn't it? Let's take a look at the numbers.
Stats for January

As I spoiled already it was a 4 digit month, sadly to the wrong direction. I had to jump between stakes until the end of the month, but for now I will rebuild confidence and bankroll on 7s only. But don't worry, I know how to deal with this situation.
Event Bankroll 0$ (+803.12$ -1303.50$)
My car broke down and I have to buy a new one once I can walk again. Therefor I withdrew all my Event Bankroll money to help get a somewhat nicer one. I made a profit split with SpinLegends before the doomhammer hit me. My share, including all Rakeback from December, The Reload Bonus from December and Promotion money sums up to 803.12$. As I am pretty deep in makeup for now and probably won't be able make another profit split anytime soon I will freeze this Event Bankroll category for now until there is something new to report about!
4000 Spins in 31 days challenge
Beginning 12th February I have 31 days to grind 4k Spins with decent ChipEV (no specifics, sorry) while also maintaining a good learning routine (2h per day). As I can do Poker fulltime until I am recovered, which will take at least 6 weeks, this is at the border of being possible. This challenge should push my motivation because there is some probet money on the side.
Will Tipton: Expert Heads Up No Limit Hold’em Vol. 1 Reading Group
I set up a steady growing group of at least 10 people who are going to read through one of the tougher Pokerbooks out there together. This projekt will start on 12th February, too. As this book is known to be very complex and sometimes pretty tough to understand we are going to discuss spots where someone has problems with. If we all together don't find a satisfactory answer one of our SpinLegends coaches will help us out. I think this is a nice project where alot of Heads Up knowledge can be gained which will help us alot at our Spin & Go tables.
Play after a set shedule
As I have a few weeks now without work I want to treat Poker like it's my job and therefor plan my day/week beforehanded. Usually I only look at my day and my tought process is as followed: "You have to work from 7:30 to 16:30 and have coaching from 19:00 to 20:00, those hours are fix. You have to clean your ferrets in the evening and you have to cook. You would also like to watch a movie with your girlfriend. So today it would be good to play 1.5 hours of poker whenever you like." This was good in a way, that I could grind whenever I wanned and stop whenever I wanned (tilt, bored, or whatever reason). As I want to win my challenge I will now plan the day ahead and stick to the tables until my set times are over. I might stop early sometimes, but only when my mental game really isn't where it should be. There is no Stop-Loss in place anymore. I believe this is important "to get things done" and a good way to cure some mental issues. (and probably a good way to lose alot of money? We will see)
